We are fully immersed in post-production now. We moved into our office this week! I'm so excited that this movie is really happening, I don't even care if I see the sun again this summer bye4eversunshinewhoneedsya. I say "we" because I have a little team now! Here's my lovely&amazing editor Mrs. Amy Glickman Brown. We have an intern, Anya, and an assistant editor, Martin. They already feel like family, and that's good because we will be spending a lot of time together. We're hustling to get you this movie ASAP.

Our office! It's teeny-tiny but it's home for the next eight weeks.

I've been getting lots of questions about our projected release date. "Release dates" for indie movies are tricky, because it's hard to say what the future holds. Our hope is to have the film finished by the end of the year, meet 2015 spring film festival deadlines, and have it ready for you to behold by this time next year! We want to make the best film we can and will keep you updated as the timeline becomes more clear.

Never Get Tired went live on Kickstarter on April 22, 2014 and within THREE DAYS, we met our goal.

I mean...

Holy wow.

I have to say, I thought I had prepared for every possible outcome of this Kickstarter campaign, but reaching our goal in less than a week of launching had certainly never crossed my mind.

So now what? We still have ten more days. Our initial goal was pretty low for a feature-length film, so I've added a stretch goal that would cover absolutely everything we need to make the best movie we can. The more money we raise, the better the film will be and the faster we can get it into the world. And if we reach our stretch goal, I'm throwing a big party. I throw really good parties.

If you haven't donated yet, you still have time to get in on it.

I'm absolutely giddy to be sharing the experience of my very first film with you all. Thank you thank you thank you.

I’ve been getting loads of e-mails in the last week asking me about the status of the documentary because the website has been inactive. Sorry!!! I haven’t stayed on top of ~SoCiAl MeDiA~ because I’m TOO DAMN BUSY FINISHING THIS MOVIE!

So no-the project has not been abandoned, yes-we are filming these last shows, yes-your kickstarter rewards from 2010 will be honored upon release of the film (TBD), and yes-come find me at the show if you have something you want to say about BTMI before it’s all over.

TOMORROW WE WILL BE WRAPPED! Thank you all for your support! Can’t wait to get this puppy edited and out in the world. Thank you for your support and patience over the last four years, it’s been a blast!

I’m up late in my childhood bedroom in Phoenix blearily writing pages on pages of interview questions and printing Mapquest directions from here to Missoula and back again. Two years later, I’m going on my third and final tour with Bomb the Music Industry for Never Get Tired.

For the next two weeks I’ll be trailing Bomb the Music Industry and wrapping up the bulk of production on the film. I’m sad that this will be their last big tour, but grateful they are letting me come along to capture it. I’m very excited to introduce you all to my friend and cinematographer Adam Uhl who will be my eyes and co-pilot on this super DIY filmmaking adventure. I’m also grateful that you have all been so patient as I waited for this documentary to come to its logical conclusion.

I’ll be at all the shows for the rest of the tour starting tomorrow in San Diego. As always, I love to talk to fans! If you want to tell the world what BTMI has meant to you over the past several years and you will be at one of the shows, come find me! I’m the chick with the big camera. Adam is the dude with the guns that look like he’s been carrying a big camera for the past six years.

Thanks to everyone who has reached out to check up on us. We’re here! We’re working! And for those of you who missed it in the beginning, there will likely be another Kickstarter campaign in the coming months. I can’t believe how far we got with $4,300, but we’ve got to gear up for post-production to finish this thing up in style and tie it in a pretty bow. There will be new incentives and fun exclusives for both old and new supporters of No Future Films.

At one point there was a Bomb the Music Industry documentary in the works. Is that still happening?

Yeah, that’s still happening. I like music documentaries a lot and all the ones that I think are really interesting take place over a long period of time. And Sara Crow (the director) felt the same way. So I think that’s where we’re at—if the documentary came out today, there really wouldn’t be an ending. There’s a lot more to capture. It’s funny because since the Kickstarter campaign people have been like “Where’s the documentary?” But [Sara] doesn’t want to make a documentary in just a year and half. Like, fucking Dig! took like eight years to make. I think Some Kind of Monster took three or four years to make. And those movies are awesome. So I think to make it a really good movie people just have to be a little more patient.

I’ve spent the past five months filming the making of this album so it’s awesome to hear how well-received it’s been today. I’m so proud of my dear friend Jeff for writing such an incredible record.

I know sometimes it doesn’t seem like it, but there’s loads going on in NFF world. As I said I’ve been spending lots of time in Long Island and at Jeff’s house filming the making of this record. I’m going to continue filming the Vacation story over the next couple months and hopefully end production officially in December. I expect Never Get Tired will be out in the world Summer 2012. Until then, I’m slaving away at a coffee shop and counting pennies to be able to finish the movie (this is why I’m not going on tour this time, very sad, don’t wanna talk about it). The Kickstarter money went really far! Went on the last summer tour, Europe tour, AND bought a camera with $4500. Yowza! If you’ve feeling benevolent you can always still donate at nofuturefilms.com. I’ve gotten lots of e-mails from you asking what’s going on with the project, and I assure you it’s moving, but it moves much faster when there’s money in the account.
